A sexual assault case against a Temple man was put in motion by a report made in Colorado.
35-year old Charles Wright of Temple was booked into the Bell County jail Thursday morning after being picked up by Temple police.
Local police were called by a special agent of the Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Carson, Colorado on back in November advising that a woman and her daughter had come into their office to report a sexual assault that had occurred in Temple in the Spring of 2013.
The victim was ten years old at the time of the incident and the man was someone she knew.
The case was assigned to an investigator who coordinated with investigators at Fort Carson to have the child interviewed at that location.
As the investigation went on, Temple officers were able to get an arrest warrant for Wright who was then picked up and taken to jail.
Bond for Wright was set at $150,000.
