Two of four people Killeen police connected to a March 2017 murder in an apartment complex parking lot have been sentenced to prison.

James Tyshawn Pinkard was sentenced to serve 35 years and Erica Lane Brownlee will serve 25 years.

They along with another man and a juvenile were arrested during the investigation into the death of 38-year-old Rocky Wayne Marsh.

Marsh had been found in the parking lot of the Morgan Manor Apartments in the 1500 block of Bundrant Drive.

Officers performed CPR on him until medical personnel arrived and took over.

Marsh was taken to Seton Medical Center where he later died.

At the time of the incident, police say they believed Marsh had been approached by four people, that an argument broke out, then he was attacked and robbed.

Police described the attack as brutal,  with Marsh being beaten then stabbed in the chest, possibly with a screwdriver.

Pinkard and Brownlee had been found guilty in a trial in January.
