UPDATE: The Waco Police Department needs your help identifying the individual found in South Waco on Sunday.

The body found is an unidentified white man between 50-70 years of age. He has brown eyes, grey/white hair approximately three inches in length, a gray mustache and goatee.

The man is approximately six feet tall and weighs around 170 pounds. He also has a tattoo below the chest and above the abdomen that says “WACO.”

Waco police are working to determine the identity of a body found Sunday in a local creek.

Police were called to the area of South 10th Street and Hines Avenue about 6:45 p.m. Sunday when a citizen reported finding what he thought might be a body.

The citizen led officers to the creek bed where the body of a man was found.

Police say due to the condition of the body, race and identity were not determined.

The Special Crimes unit handled the scene and a judge ordered an autopsy.

Waco Mortuary and the Waco Fire Department assisted in removal of the body.

An investigation was underway Monday morning.
