There is an arrest warrant out for 28-year-old Zachery McKee in the death of AT&T employee Kenneth Cleveland.

Police officers found his body near the 1400 block of Barron Avenue back in April of 20-16.

At first, investigators thought Cleveland’s death was an accident because his body was badly burned.

They later discovered he had more than twenty stab wounds to his body.

McKee is currently being held by another department and is expected back in Waco this week.

Police would not release his current location.

Cleveland’s family is currently suing AT&T — saying the company sent him to a dangerous area and did not offer him protection.

The lawsuit filed by Cleveland’s daughters and mother says Cleveland called the company around 9:00 a.m. and said he was having some kind of issue, possibly a fight.

Despite this communication, the lawsuit claims AT&T did not try to contact Cleveland when he did not check in.

Police found Cleveland’s body in an alley behind the house where he had been working. An autopsy would later show Cleveland fought against his attacker.

The families’ attorney says this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

“Even though they have known for years, and in fact I believe decades, that this risk exists and there have been other AT&T employees assaulted and killed in other circumstances,” says Rick Bostwick, lawyer.
