Waco police are looking for the driver of an SUV they say purposely ran into a motorcycle following an argument with the rider a few minutes earlier.

Police spokesman Patrick Swanton said the incident started shortly before 2:30 a.m. when the motorcycle rider and the driver of the larger vehicle got into an argument in the drive through line at the Whataburger restaurant on Waco Drive near Highway 6.

The driver of the SUV left and waited down Waco Drive for the motorcyclist to leave.

Police say the driver of the larger vehicle then purposely ran into the motorcycle near Waco Drive and 38th Street, knocking it down, then leaving the scene.

The motorcycle rider was not seriously injured,  but the motorcycle was heavily damaged.
