Waco Police are searching for the two people they say shot and killed local rapper Justin Wayne Bibles.

The 32-year-old died from a gunshot to the head near Red Lobster in Waco

Family and friends describe Bibles as a good person who had a passion for music. He recorded music with Mobb City Recordings in Waco for the past three years.

Mobb City CEO Charod Laws says Bibles’s music career ended too soon – saying he was working on a project which could have created international buzz.

Laws says Bibles started rapping on stage about three years ago, and that he performed in Waco, Dallas and Miami. Bibles focused his rap lyrics on personal experiences and the good in people.

Laws learned about the shooting through a friend on Tuesday, saying he couldn’t wrap his head around it and doesn’t understand why someone would do this.

“I was like, ‘Nah.’ I was making sure. I was like, ‘You got the wrong person. Wrong one.’ The same one we talking about. He was like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’ And it just hurt. I didn’t see that happening to Justin. He never been that type of person to even be around that type of stuff. To even be bothered by someone on that level,” Laws says.

Police say they do not have any suspects or arrests connected to the shooting. If you know of anything, you can call Waco Police at 254-750-7500.
