Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been booked after turning himself in one day before a hearing in court.
Manziel also had his mug shot taken in Highland Park. He was released on $1,500 bond.
The hearing Thursday stems from Manziel indictment for charges of allegedly hitting and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend. He faces a class A misdemeanor and a $4,000 fine in conjunction with the indictment.
The former Texas A&M star and Heisman trophy winner was released by the Cleveland Browns earlier this year.
Manziel is also a Kerrville and Tyler, Texas, native.
Highland Park is located just north of Dallas.
