A Texarkana woman shopping at Best Buy allegedly stole a vehicle with a 5-year-old boy inside.

According to the child’s mother, on Wednesday, Caroline Minnieweather, 46,  asked her for a ride to Best Buy.

While waiting for Minnieweather in her vehicle the victim noticed Minnieweather in some type of confrontation with a store employee near the front of the business.

As the victim approached Minnieweather to find out what was going on, she broke free from the employee and jumped inside of the victim’s car and drove away with the child inside.

The employee told police Minnieweather also stole two laptops.

Officers responding to a call around 4:30 p.m. found the stolen car  at a home in the 1200 block of Stuckey Street. The child was found unharmed in the vehicle.

Police located Minnieweather inside the house where she was arrested without incident.

Minnieweather was charged with unlawful restraint, unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft of property and child endangerment. She was booked into the Bi-State Jail.
