UPDATE: 69 new cases of COVID-19 in McLennan County, 10,263 total, one new death

WACO, Texas – 69 new cases of COVID-19 are confirmed as of Friday. 31 new cases have been reported from surge testing. The total number of cases to date is 10,263. 

There are 529 estimated active cases, and 9,579 estimated cases who have recovered. 44 cases are hospitalized. Of the 44 hospitalized, 29 cases are McLennan County residents. Seven cases are on ventilators. 

One additional death has been reported due to COVID-19. There has been a total of 155 deaths in McLennan County. #155 was a 71-year-old African-American woman.

As of October 29, 2020, the hospitalization rate is 6.69 percent for Trauma Service Area M, as calculated by Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
