Waco, McLennan County leaders discuss COVID-19 cases

Waco and McLennan County leaders discussed the latest COVID-19 cases Wednesday afternoon.

The Waco-McLennan County Public Health District reported 53 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. The total number of cases is 4,748 – which includes 2,774 estimated recovered, 51 deaths, and 1,899 estimated active cases.  

The District’s website says there are 63 people currently hospitalized with the virus, while there are 521 hospital beds set aside for COVID-19 sufferers.
