Woman killed in Temple crash identified

TEMPLE, Texas –Temple Police report a woman killed in a Monday afternoon traffic crash has been identified as 30-year-old Destarte Gulley of Temple.

Gulley was the driver of a Honda CR-V involved in the crash.

Another adult female passenger in the car was listed as stable Tuesday morning while a 9-year-old girl is also stable and a 9-month-old girl is listed as serious.

The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast HK Dodgen Loop and State Highway 95.

Temple PD spokesman Cody Weems said the initial investigation show that a black Honda CR-V was going west and failed to yield right of way to a red Ford F-250 that was going south.

Gulley, who was driving the Honda  died in the accident. Two children have been transported and were said to have life-threatening injuries.

The scene was cleared on Monday evening, and roadways became open again.
