Store clerks assaulted during robbery


Store clerks working at a Killeen convenience store were assaulted by two men who robbed the store early Thursday morning.

Killeen police say it happened at 3:29 a.m. at the Mickey’s convenience store at 4080 Westcliff Road.

When police arrived they were told that two men wearing masks entered the store demanding the money.

Both clerks were grabbed and assaulted by the robbers,  both of whom were described as being large men.

The clerks handed over the money and the men left on foot in an unknown direction.

One robber was described as a heavy set black male, about five feet, ten inches to six feet tall, weight about 250-270 pounds last seen wearing an Ace bandage around his nose and mouth, a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The second robber was described as a heavy set black male, also 5-10 to six feet and weighing 230-250 pounds and wearing a black stocking cap over his face, a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
