A young man has been arrested after a motorcycle pursuit in Brazos County.
According to the Brazos County Constable, deputies from Precinct Two attempted to stop a black and grey sport-type motorcycle on Monday morning. The motorcycle was northbound on State Highway 6, near the FM-2818 intersection.
The motorcyclist failed to yield and accelerated, weaving in and out of traffic. The motorcyclist fled from the marked patrol unit which was pursuing, using emergency lights and a siren in an attempt to stop the vehicle.
The pursuit continued until the motorcycle exited at the William J. Bryan Parkway exit, where the motorcycle crossed the road, left the road, and fell in the right-of-way in front of a Toyota car dealership.
The driver was not seriously injured, and refused treatment or transport to the hospital from Bryan Fire Department Emergency Medical Personnel.
The driver has been identified as 20-year-old Tyler Cole Savant, of Navasota. He was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest using a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving.
