A 32-year-old man has been arrested on a Copperas Cove Police warrant charged with threatening to “take care” of his wife and kids while displaying a handgun.

The complaint filed in the case named Kevin Michael Kelley, who was actually arrested on the charges by Fort Hood Police.

The complaint quoted the victim as saying Kelley had pointed a black handgun at her and threatened to take care of her and the kids if she mentioned anything about their marriage to anyone.

The victim told the officer they had been arguing about money when a gun was pressed against her forehead with the victim saying ” it would be easy to get rid of me.” 

The victim had gone to Copperas Cove police shortly after 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Kelley was booked into the Coryell County jail about 1:45 a.m. Monday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence
