A McLennan County Grand Jury has returned an indictment for compelling prostitution against a 26-year-old man arrested after two prostitutes were caught up in a sting operation conducted in May 2016.
Demarcus Dshawn WIlliams of Fort Worth was arrested as McLennan County deputies set up a meeting with a woman who thought she was meeting a ” client” at a local motel for sex in exchange for money.
Initially the two women picked up that night voiced concern about helping with the investigation because they were afraid of Williams.
At the time of the arrest, Williams was charged with pimping the two women.
The indictment stated that at the time of the sting, May 23, 2016, he had caused the two women to ” work” for him as prostitutes through threats of harm to them and to their families.
Williams is currently free on bond.
