The Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport is developing an airport master plan to set the course for the future of local air service.
The master plan is funded through a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Grant, and will provide a guide for airport development over the next 20 years – detailing short, mid and long-range goals and financial plans to achieve them.
The master planning process involves gathering public input. The following public meetings are scheduled in Killeen, Copperas Cove and Harker Heights to update stakeholders on initial findings and recommendations and to solicit comments in the finalization of a master plan:
November 7 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Harker Heights Activities Center, Room C, 400 Indian Trail
Copperas Cove Council Chambers, 508 S. 2nd Street
November 8 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Killeen Utility Collections Conference Room, 210 W. Avenue C
Master plan development started in August 2016 and has involved thorough review and analysis of all factors related to the airport. Consultants will finalize the plan draft to be submitted to the FAA for final approval following the scheduled public meetings.
