Names released of teens accused of shooting at Killeen police

News

Killeen police have released the names of three teenagers accused of burglarizing a home Sunday and then shooting at officers.

17-year old Kalogano Nathanal Davis faces charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer and deadly conduct.

17-year old James Centron Mitchell and 19-year-old Isaiah Javon Bulla face drug charges.

Officers say they were responding to a burglary call in the area when several people in the Westcliff Road area ran away from them.

Police say the suspects ran behind a Family Dollar at 4800 Westcliff Road.

According to police one of those suspects shot at officers, but no one was hurt.

Initially, four men were arrested and two were released.

Davis, the suspected shooter, was among those taken into custody and the weapon believed used was recovered.

Police did not return fire during the incident because of the cross traffic on Westcliff, but a citizen’s vehicle was hit by the suspect’s gunfire.

Another vehicle parked nearby and a building was also hit.

No injuries were reported among those directly involved or among bystanders.
