Dragon Spacecraft and Crew Dock Safely

The team of astronauts that launched in the pre-dawn hours on Monday has successfully docked with the International Space Station.

The four astronauts were on the SpaceX Crew Dragon for its first fully-operational mission.

The docking occurred at about 11:01 p.m. eastern time, after a 27-hour mission.

The astronauts are set to spend about six months in space conducting research.
