Mussels test positive for opioids

Pain Stops Here

Shellfish in the Puget Sound of Washington are testing positive for opioids.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife say mussels are also coming up with traces of chemicals found in detergents, cleaning products antibiotics and other kinds of prescription drugs.

Researchers say you would have to eat 150 pounds of the contaminated mussels to even get a small dose.
