With the help of the Hill County SWAT team, Clifton police have arrested two men suspected of robbing a store in the Bosque County community.
It was back on March 4 that two men robbed the Santa Fe Convenience store at 202 East 5th Street in Clifton.
The men wore ski masks with one armed with a handgun, the other with a knife.
After they got money from the cash drawer of the register, they tried to get into the store’s safe but were unsuccessful and left.
Evidence from a crime lab lead to two suspects and beginning August 11, a search was begun for them.
Monday officers learned that one of the suspects was located at a residence just inside Hill County near the Brazos River Bridge on FM 2114.
Officers and the Hill County SWAT team arrested Jonathan Collins Glover at that location.
On Wednesday again with the help of the SWAT team, the search for the second suspect was resumed when he was sighted driving near the Hill County Courthouse in Hillsboro.
Jacob Thomas McDaniel was taken into custody without incident after a traffic stop.
Both are now being held in the Bosque County jail on charges of aggravated robbery.
