The contents of a suspicious package found at Baylor on Tuesday have been discovered.

The unattended item turned out to be just a diaper, but was wrapped in tape. This is what caused the initial concern, according to Baylor University.

This comes after the Baylor University Police Department received a report on Tuesday morning about an unattended package outside of the Tidwell Bible Building. It was wrapped in a way which caused concern.

Baylor Police conducted a preliminary assessment, and out of an abundance of caution called in experts from the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office to assist with the investigation.

Based on the recommendation from the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, Baylor Police evacuated the west side of Tidwell. The evacuation affected some offices on that side of the building, but no classrooms had to be evacuated.

The McLennan County Sheriff’s Office determined the package did not pose a threat to campus. Baylor’s Department of Public Safety used the University’s emergency notification system to inform the campus of the situation through text, email and social media. The all clear was given at 11:44 a.m.
