Fort Hood soldiers helped out some students at Temple High School Wednesday as they prepared for an upcoming culinary competition.
The students will compete on Friday against 22 other schools in the Texas region.
This event is based on cooking techniques and skills.
Three teams from the high school have been preparing for several weeks and say they’re excited not just for the competition, but for how this is going to benefit them in years to come.
The soldiers practice with the students and teach them garnishing techniques and culinary tricks among other things.
They practice everything from plate placements to sanitation rules.
The soldiers have their own culinary competition in Virginia coming up later this year.
