A van was hit by a train in downtown Waco on Wednesday evening.
The accident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Jackson Avenue. An improperly-parked vehicle was struck by an eastbound train. This collision caused the vehicle to be pushed into two other vehicles.
The Waco Police Department said there was no danger to the general public or injuries reported. They also advised the public to avoid the area due to traffic delays.
The train temporarily blocked traffic from S 3rd Street to S 20th Street on Jackson Avenue. The train was moved at 7:30 p.m. and all intersections were cleared.
The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
