Forty-six-year-old Joseph Nickel of Waco has been tracked down by the Texas Attorney General’s Office  in a child porn case.

Attorney General Ken Paxton said he could face up to thirty years in prison if convicted on the three counts he is charged with.

The Child Exploitation unit found the material that had been uploaded to an online storage account that he had been accessing.

A digital storage device containing images of child porn and several other devices were seized by the Digital Forensics Unit.

A statement from the AG’s office said that during an interview, Nickel admitted he downloaded, viewed and shared child pornography on the internet.

Nickel was booked into the McLennan County Jail on Tuesday.
