A 32-year-old Waco man is facing multiple charges after a woman was beaten, held against her will, then dumped naked in the street after she refused to buy cocaine for her boyfriend.
Marvin David Childs was picked up and booked into the McLennan County jail on Sunday.
Waco police spokesman Patrick Swanton says the actual incident occurred May 28th when the victim was at the home of her boyfriend of three months in the 1300 block of Tabor Street.
Court papers indicate Childs was angered when the victim refused to go buy some ” powder” ( meaning cocaine), grabbed her by the hair and started choking her.
When Childs left the room for a moment, the victim went outside and took a picture of his license plate.
When she came back in, Childs is reported to have asked if she was going to turn him in to the police and refused to let her leave the room.
In the arrest affidavit filed with the court, the victim said he tapped her on the arm with a black handgun, pointed it at her forehead and cocked it, saying he was going to kill her.
The victim told police he took her clothes and threw them out the door, then forced her into the back seat of his car.
He stopped a short distance away, and started beating her with a hair brush before pulling her by her hair and throwing her out of the car,, leaving her naked in the street.
She went to the door of a nearby home for help where a resident had already heard the screaming and called police.
When officers arrived, the witness told them she had seen a man body slam the victim to the ground.
Childs was charged with aggravated assault with a threat by deadly weapon, aggravated assault with bodily injury with a previous conviction and unlawful restraint.
