Woman indicted for online solicitation of minor


A former Belton Independent School District substitute teacher has been indicted by a Bell County Grand Jury for online solicitation of a minor.

Rachele Lynn Patino was arrested following an investigation into a young boy being solicited on Snapchat. She was booked into the Bell County Jail last June after turning herself in when a warrant for her arrest was obtained.

Police started their investigation in February after the 15-year-old made an outcry about what was described as “inappropriate contact with an adult female.” They say their investigation led to Patino being identified as a suspect,

Her bond was set at $25,000.

Patino was working as a substitute teacher for Belton ISD up until February 9, when school officials were made aware of inappropriate messaging. She was terminated at ths time and school officials contacted police.
