A woman accused of endangering her children by exposing them to methamphetamine she and a man were using in their home in Robinson has been sentenced to 20 months in prison.
Hailey Christine Brunson had entered an open plea to three counts of endangering a child in front of 19th District Court Judge Ralph Strother.
Charlie Lee Martin IV had entered a plea and was sentenced to 16 months in September of last year.
The couple had been charged after a four-month-old child died in May of 2016.
Emergency personnel had been called to a home in the 500 block of Rio Bonito in Robinson regarding a child not breathing.
An autopsy was ordered with the final results indicating a presence of methamphetamine.
At the time of the child’s death, court records indicated meth was found in the home and the couple themselves had tested positive for meth.
After obtaining the final autopsy results, Robinson Police obtained the arrest warrants and the couple was taken to jail, later posting a $3,000 bond and being released.
There were three counts of endangering a child filed because there had been three children in the home.
