Woman wanted in Dollar General incident found

News

A woman wanted in one of two theft and robbery incidents at a Waco Dollar General Store just over a week ago has been arrested.

At the time of incident on July 17, police said a woman had gone into the Dollar General store at 1701 West Waco Drive and picked up various clothing items and a drink and headed out of the door without paying for the items.

When a store employee asked her to bring the items back into the store and pay for them, an argument broke out and the woman was accused of pushing and assaulting the employee before running away.

The employee suffered minor injuries.

Police at the time had said they thought they knew who the woman was and were able to get a warrant for 49-year-old Angela Lynn Ball the next day.

Ball was found and booked into the McLennan County Jail on Wednesday.

Since the incident involved violent activity and contact, the charge is robbery rather than simple theft.

Police say a second incident at the store was unrelated to the one involving Ball.
