Texas A&M’s November struggles spelled the end for the Kevin Sumlin regime after they went 4-11 against SEC Teams in the month of November under Sumlin.
Now in his first season, Jimbo Fisher has started 0-1 in the 11th month of the calender, but he knows this is part of the process of changing the culture. After A&M watched a late lead slip away against Auburn, Fisher acknowledged that in order to finish seasons better they need to finish these games better.
“I always relate this to why Michael Jordan was one of my idols,” Fisher said. “I love Brady, certain guys, Bird, Magic, they didn’t want to win, They wanted to destroy you. They wanted to give you no hope so that any time you played them the next time, you knew, oh my god I just want to get this game over with, you know what I’m saying? There’s a mentality, that goes with things like that. I think we have to learn.”
The Aggies will welcome in the Ole Miss Rebels and the nations 3rd best passing attack on Saturday, looking for their first win at Kyle Field against an SEC West opponent since October of 2015.
