Baylor Men Happy to Be Back in The Big Dance

Baylor Men’s Basketball is going dancing for the fifth time in the last six years, taking on Syracuse in Salt Lake City on Thursday.

The Bears were on the outside looking in 2018 and the returning players from that squad wanted to make sure they did not have to experience that again.

“It’s a moment you dream of as a kid and it’s good to be back after last year with the disappointment at the end,” Senior King McClure said. “But it feels great to be back and we’re ready.”

Freddie Gillespie didn’t get to play last year, but missing last year he and his teammates worked hard this offseason to get this opportunity.

“It’s huge,” he said. “Just to see it all come together after last year, seeing how that season worked out and being able to put in the work in the summertime and all the extra work pay off is amazing.”

The Bears will leave for Salt Lake City on Tuesday, and will practice Wednesday for their Thursday game against Syracuse.
