The Bears hosted their first ever regional tournament this past weekend, and defeated UCLA 4-1, to advance to the National Tournament in Orlando. The format changed this year, meaning that eight teams are heading to the finals site, instead of 16, and the Bears are ready for the challenge, as they feel they’re playing the best they have all season.
“We wanted to make sure that we peaked at the right time,” Brian Boland said. “And used our energy accordingly, and the way that we practiced and competed and prepared, was a formula to be at our best now.”
“I think we’re playing as good as we’ve ever played all of us as a team,” Jimmy Bendeck said. “We’re feeling confident and I know that we’re gonna be prepared as possible, probably the most prepared guys out of any of the teams out there.”
