The Baylor softball team will now play a double-header on Friday in an attempt to avoid bad weather on Saturday.
Baylor sitting at 26-13, and 4-6 in Big 12 Play they will need a strong finish to put themselves in the conversation for a Regional host bid. Coach Moore feels like Tuesday’s win against Texas was a good start for his team.
“Well it will let us breathe. We were suffocating under poor performances and not really knowing how to get out of it and searching for our way there for a little while. We played a solid ballgame. Not perfect, but against a team that was red hot it allowed us to breathe.”
Coach Moore said he likes to let his kids know where they stand when it comes to postseason pecking order, and right now they have an uphill climb.
“We’ve dug a pretty big hgle quite honestly,” he said. “But it’s not about that anymore for us. We talked about going into Texas that we were ready to be a comeback team.”
Baylor will open the series at 4:00pm on Friday at Getterman Stadium, with game two to follow at 6:30pm.
