The Bears have an exceptional group of wide receivers this season, including Chris Platt, Denzel Mims, Jalen Hurd, Tony Nicholson, Pooh Stricklin and Gavin Holmes. Mims put up over 1,000 yards last year, scored 8 touchdowns, and was named to the second team all-Big 12. Platt played in four games in 2017, racking up 401 yards and 5 touchdowns, before missing the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
“…I think we have so much talent, out wide, so many guys that can get open, that a 4 yard pass could become a 40 yard run,” Matt Rhule said.
“Everybody in that wide receiver room has their special ability, that’s what makes us so dangerous, we have people that are good after the catch, people that are good at running routes…” Chris Platt said.
