The TCU Horned Frogs will have some big names to replace in 2018, after going 11-3 and earning a berth in the re-born Big 12 Title Game.
The Frogs lost five offensive lineman off last year’s squad and four of them are in NFL camps.
At quarterback Shawn Robinson appears to be the heir apparent to Kenny Hill but Coach Gary Patterson is not ready to tab him as “The Guy” just yet.
“I don’t judge quarterbacks in practice or stats, anything else,” Patterson said. “I judge ’em on Saturdays. When you have a new guy in place, you do them a disservice if you ask too much of them as far as the pressure of it.”
On defense the Frogs return some key pieces like Ben Banogu and Ty Summers, that should not only help the defense but give the offense a stiff test in preseason camp.
TCU boasts a tough schedule especially in September, where they will see Ohio State, Texas and Iowa State in consecutive weeks.
The Frogs will be in Waco on November 17th to play the Bears.
