The Baylor Lady Bears took Texas’ best shot on Monday and came away victorious taking another big step towards a Big 12 Title, with eight games left to play.
Baylor led by 21 in the second half, a lead that was trimmed to four late in the 4th quarter, but Baylor was able to make enough shots to leave the Austin with their ninth straight win in the State Capital.
Sophomore Moon Ursin had a career-night pouring in 20-points, and hitting key shots down the stretch for her team.
“Knocking down big shots, in critical moments, my teammates were finding me and I was just stepping up with confidence, and knocking them down,” she said. “And defensively I was guarding shug. that kept me going and kept my legs under me and kept me moving. I just think that being active on both sides of the court, helped me out.”
Baylor will resume conference play at home on Saturday when they host TCU.
