UIL Clears Remote Students for Extracurricular Activities

AUSTIN — The UIL announced on Friday that students participating in remote learning would be eligible for extracurricular activities, representing the school they are remotely learning through.

The UIL website says, “Students participating in remote learning offered by their school district, whether synchronous or asynchronous (as defined by TEA), may participate in UIL activities if they meet all other UIL eligibility requirements.”
