Martin Takes The Long Road Back Home

Sports

Former McLennan Highlander Chris Martin grew up minutes from The Ballpark in Arlington, and his career comes full-circle this year as he gets set to be a contributor to the Rangers pitching staff.

Martin was out of the game for 3 years after tearing his labrum during his sophomore year at MCC. After a few MLB stints, Martin went overseas to play in Japan. After pitching in 92 games Martin caught the eye of Rangers scouts inking a two-year deal with his hometown team.
