The Baylor Bears are bringing back eight starters on defense including junior Grayland Arnold who is poised for a breakout season.
Arnold one of just three Bears that hauled in an interception last season and his coach Matt Rhule feels like he has just scratched the surface of his capabilities.
“He played all last year with a cast, he played all last year trying to get back in shape, and he played really well,” Rhule said. “He produced. He can be a difference-maker. he is tough, he is demanding, he is on that elite list every week, he gets on their guys, he is a leader. Grayland is my kind of guy. I think this year having a full summer, to be healthy and I think we’ll see a guy really playing at the level he’s capable of.”
Arnold is among the four returners in the Baylor secondary with starting experience last year.
