Baylor came out on the wrong end of the scoreboard last night against West Virginia, but for senior Nuni Omot, it was a huge win.

Omot left his native Native Kenya as a refugee when he was a small child and had not seen his father, until this weekend. After nearly 22 years it was quite an emotional reunion.

“It was very emotional since I haven’t seen him in 21 years,” Nuni said on Tuesday. “This was his first time seeing me ever play. I had a lot of emotions. I was just happy he was able to get to see me play. That’s always been his dream just to see me, in general. but to have him here meant the world to me.”
